Garden of Remembrance Boat of Remembrance for Children |

In the precinct by the north wall of the church is an area which as far as possible is kept quiet so that people can sit and reflect. Within this area is a Garden of Remembrance where the remains of people's loved ones are laid to rest. They lie in the shadow of the church where they are remembered every Sunday at the Holy Eucharist.

A boat, over one hundred years old, given by the Royal Naval Sailing Association, is kept planted as a place of remembrance for children and babies who have died and now rest in the peace of God. |

A statue by the sculptor Peter Foster, depicting St Martin sharing his cloak with a beggar, can also be found in the precinct. |
